Fire Drills:

Fire Drills are conducted on a monthly basis. This is not only a state requirement, but a best practice method to ensure that in the event of a tragedy we are ready to respond accurately and immediately with no error. We cannot provide prior notification to parents so they can accompany their children on the drill. A fire drill is designated to stimulate a fire emergency and to prepare staff and children in the event of an actual fire. If a fire occurred we would not be able to call parents to assist with the evacuation. If any child experiences severe distress during the drill, we will work with the child and the child's parents to ease the discomfort.

Tornado Drill:

Tornado Drills will be conducted also on a monthly basis, this is to ensure that in the event of an emergency our children are trained on what to do.
